Lord & Taylor Acquires Lisa Battaglia Hats for Fall 2009

New York, NY (June 12, 2009) – Milliner Lisa Battaglia announces the distribution of her Fall 2009 collection to select Lord & Taylor stores nationwide.

Kate Tracy, women’s accessories buyer for Lord & Taylor, worked with Lisa to chose the styles customers will see this Fall including the Buttercup, a camel velour hood with linen ribbon, which will retail at $189 and hit shelves in September 2009 at the New York, Westchester, and Washington D.C. locations.

Lord & Taylor has built its reputation on style and is known for its latest trends and timeless classics. “I am excited for the opportunity to showcase my work at Lord & Taylor because of their continual vision and foresight to significant trends in the retail industry,” Lisa said.

Allure predicted that hats will be a favorite fashion accessory for the winter season. The Buttercup’s linen ribbon adds a vintage feel to the riding cap, a classic style designed to flatter any face shape.

Having been seen in such publications as Glamour, Marie Claire, and Vogue, Lisa’s collection has most recently appeared on StyleHop.com and been described as “whimsy, cheerful, intricate designs without losing a sense of practicality.”

Lisa has designed for and is carried in Charles Nolan, Malia Mills & Eve Bari, as well as other specialty stores nationwide. Lisa Battaglia hats are priced at $100 and up. The complete Fall/Winter collection includes such styles as cloches, fedoras, and caps in velour and felt bodies. Custom orders require 4–6 weeks for design and construction. Costs will vary depending on the hat’s complexity, size and material.
